Job summary

Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia, seeks a Finance Cost Analyst to strengthen cost governance within the Engineering & Facilities Division. You will monitor cost data, prepare ownership costs for equipment, and deliver insightful analyses of maintenance, G&A and CAPEX expenditures.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience, excels in Excel, and communicates fluently in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal abilities; tactful, mature and flexible.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards, company and tax law.
• Well-developed supervisory and organizational skills.
• Good communication, reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control cost reports for data accuracy.
• Compile costs for determination of total cost of ownership of equipment.
• Cost monitoring of Engineering & Facilities Division expenses.
• Provide cost analysis on maintenance, G&A, and CAPEX costs.
• Prepare monthly cost vs. budget reports for the division.
• Coordinate full-year estimates and forecasts for the division.
• Coordinate annual budgets for Engineering & Facilities Division.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Responsible to monitor and control cost report to ensure accuracy of data.
2. Responsible to compile cost for determination of the total cost of ownership equipment.
3. Cost Monitoring - Ongoing monitoring and controlling of Engineering & Facilities Division costs.
4. Cost Analysis To provide analysis on maintenance cost, general and administration (G&A) expenses and CAPEX cost.
5. Cost Monitoring Report - Prepare monthly report for Engineering & Facilities Division on actual expenses versus budget
6. Financial Forecast - Coordinate the preparation of full year estimates process and compile the full year estimate for Engineering & Facilities Division.
7. Division Budget Coordinator - Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets process and compile all the budget for Engineering & Facilities Division.
8. Teamwork - Work closely with other colleagues from other departments or divisions in meeting the set goals.

REQUIREMENT

1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelors Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance or Accounting or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. At least 3 years of relevant working experience in related field or unit.
3. Good interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible
4. Good technical accounting knowledge in respects of standards, company law, taxation law and internal control procedural.
5. Well-developed and strong supervisory skills.
