Job summary

Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad is seeking an Agency Admin professional to support daily BAU activities including agent applications, movement requests, and change processes. The role ensures regulatory compliance and champions process improvements within agency operations.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in insurance or takaful or related field, with at least one year of relevant experience, and will assist with letter issuance and handling enquiries to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year experience in Agency Admin or related field.
• Able to support regulatory compliance and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily BAU: handle agent applications, movement and change requests.
• Ensure processes meet benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
• Provide agency process support in compliance with company and regulatory bodies.
• Screen for potential business risks and flag exceptions.
• Prepare and send letters (Termination, Warning, Promotion) and handle inquiries.
• Review existing processes for improvements.
• Support digital initiatives for agency portals and communications.
• Other admin tasks as assigned.

The role is created to support agent licensing and movement process for agency. Also as a gatekeeper adhering regulatory guidelines & compliance, as well as continuously enhancing the system / digital tools to enable automation and quality control. Support to achieve overall channel objectives for business growth.

Major Accountabilities

To support daily BAU

Handling and monitoring of tasks such as agent application, movement and change request.

To ensure processes done are meeting the benchmark.

Provide support of agency processes in compliance with requirements imposed by company and regulatory bodies.

Conduct screening and detect exceptions of potential business risks which may surface during processing.

Prepare and send of letters including Termination Notice Letter, Warning Letter, Promotion Letter and more.

Manage incoming agency processing enquiries including walk-in, phone enquiry and email.

Review and propose on exception handling processing for management decisions.

Regular review on existing business processes for improvement and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements.

Other administrative task as assigned.

Digital initiatives and agent/sales portals

Support process improvement / system control adhering regulatory guidelines

Prepare agency communication or circulars

any other responsibilities as may reasonably be required from time to time

Requirements

Degree in insurance or takaful business, business admin, HR or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Min 1 year working experience, especially in Agency Admin or related field is an added advantage.
