Job summary

DKSH in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Accounts Payable Executive to ensure governance and accuracy in financial processes. You will drive integrity of AP activities and support efficiency and compliance across finance operations.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance, attention to detail, SAP experience, and proficiency in Excel; you will manage AP transactions, assist closing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic Asia-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline (preferred).
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounting standards.
• Experience with SAP accounting applications is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and basic analytical skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in local language and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AP processing services within SLA and KPI targets.
• Assist in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets.
• Implement AP processes and internal controls to govern AP function.
• Supervise recording of AP transactions for monthly and yearly closings.
• Coordinate and execute continuous improvement for AP processes and automation.
• Guide the team to achieve goals and support learning and development.
• Foster self-learning and continuous improvement in AP and DKSH behavior.

About The Role

The Accounts Payable Executive plays a key role in ensuring financial governance and operational accuracy within DKSH's finance operations. This position drives the integrity of accounts payable processes and contributes to the efficiency and compliance of the organization's financial management.

What You Will Deliver

• Deliver Accounts Payable (AP) processing services within agreed quality, service levels and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets as defined in Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
• Implement accounts payable processes and internal controls to ensure governance over the Accounts Payable function
• Supervise the recording of all accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate monthly and yearly accounts payable closing
• Coordinate and execute continuous improvement initiatives to streamline existing accounts payable processes and improve efficiencies through better utilization of automated systems
• Guide team to ensure effective delivery of team's goals (where applicable)
• Drive learning and development of team in the area of Accounts Payable and DKSH behavior to achieve team/function goals (where applicable)
• Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Accounts Payable and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline (preferred)
• Demonstrate good working knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge in managing accounts payable and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and basic analytical skills
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
