Job summary

UST in Penang seeks a Product / Platform Engineer specializing in Ethernet to support customer-reported networking issues for Ethernet adapters, LAN controllers, and embedded platforms.

You will investigate, debug, validate, and resolve Ethernet-related problems across server, embedded, edge, and enterprise systems, collaborating with hardware, software, and validation teams to deliver high-quality networking solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant Ethernet/networking/platform validation experience.
• Experience designing, validating, or debugging PCI Express and high-speed Ethernet platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive issue resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; Mandarin is a plus for Greater China markets.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve customer-reported Ethernet and networking issues.
• Perform issue triage, debugging, root cause analysis, and validation activities.
• Support Ethernet controller integration, platform bring-up, and customer design-in activities.
• Debug hardware, firmware, driver, and OS interactions affecting network connectivity and performance.
• Analyze board schematics and platform designs for networking architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, firmware, validation, and product engineering teams.
• Document findings and drive issues to closure.
• Support customer escalations and provide technical guidance when required.
