Job summary

Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment Co Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to help oversee the estate operations, sustainability, asset management and special projects across plantations in Malaysia. You will coordinate with managers, teams and external parties to ensure timely reporting and effective execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Plantation Management, Agribusiness, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant oil palm plantation operations and management.
• Experience in coconut plantation management and knowledge of drone/UAV mapping will be an added advantage.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Innovative, resourceful and able to work effectively in a challenging environment with limited resources.
• Willing to relocate and work in remote areas.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager in overseeing and coordinating the overall estate operation.
• Work closely with Assistant Managers and operational teams on estate-wide matters.
• Monitor operational progress and follow up on matters requiring Management’s attention.
• Support the Senior Manager in implementing operational strategies, plans, and decisions.
• Coordinate estate-wide sustainability requirements and initiatives.
• Coordinate matters relating to MSPO compliance, audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Monitor follow-up actions and liaise with relevant functions to ensure sustainability requirements are properly addressed.
• Coordinate estate-wide border and boundary-related matters.
• Monitor expenditure and highlight significant financial matters or variances for Management's consideration.
• Consolidate operational and management information and provide timely updates to Management.
