Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks an experienced Head of Equity Sales Trading to lead the institutional equity trading business in Malaysia.

This leadership role oversees the Sales Trading team, strengthens relationships with local and international institutional investors, and drives sustainable revenue growth across the equity franchise while ensuring compliance and high standards of market conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in institutional equity markets or related capital markets.
• Experience managing institutional client relationships and executing large equity transactions.
• Leadership experience coaching or developing trading professionals is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of equity market structure, execution strategies and exchange regulations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sales Trading team to achieve revenue growth and franchise expansion.
• Strengthen relationships with institutional clients and expand activity with new accounts.
• Provide market insights, trading ideas and execution strategies to clients.
• Oversee execution of institutional equity orders with best execution standards.
• Ensure governance, regulatory compliance and risk controls.
• Collaborate with regional teams on cross-selling and client solutions.
• Develop succession planning and mentor team members.
