Job summary

TF-AMD Penang is seeking an Assembly Engineering professional to manage critical testing and assembly equipment at Bayan Lepas. You will establish procedures, perform preventive maintenance, and resolve complex tester and PCB issues to improve performance and uptime.

Responsibilites include leading equipment development, coordinating with vendors, and driving yield and cost reductions while supporting new product testing and manufacturing transitions. Fresh graduates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience in a technical/engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage Assembly Engineering equipment and processes.
• Set operating procedures and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose equipment, tester, load board, and PCB issues to component level.
• Lead equipment development, installation, qualification and improvement; support new product testing.
• Coordinate with vendors; manage spare parts, inventory and training.
• Drive yield improvement, test time optimization, and cost reduction.
• Manage NPI activities including EVT/DVT, buyoff units and test readiness.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Design, Quality and Failure Analysis teams.
• Manage product sustaining activities including performance and cost improvements.
• Support product and NPI feasibility, characterization and qualification.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects and process optimization.
• Maintain Advantest V93k testers and TEL probers; troubleshoot tester-prober interfaces.
• Perform routine PMs, calibrations, and correlation runs.
• Ensure test equipment uptime and fast recovery during downtime.
