Job summary

MICRON MEMORY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an Equipment Technician in Penang/Batu Kawan to support manufacturing ramp-up, transfer of test equipment, and maintenance of uptime.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering and hands-on semiconductor testing knowledge. You will collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and optimize processes. This position emphasizes PM execution, equipment setup/buyoff, and parts/tools management, with opportunities to work on modifications

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical and electronic/electrical engineering.
• Good understanding of semiconductor testing equipment processes; hands-on experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up.
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hands-on troubleshooting on the equipment.
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan.
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion.
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Job description

Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up

Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand ontrouble shooting on the equipment

Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan

Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion

Work on spare part/tools/meters management

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required

May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Requirements:-

Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering

Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.

A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
