Equipment Maintenance (Diploma Fresh Graduate)
The Equipment Technician is responsible for supporting semiconductor final test operations by performing equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, OCAP execution, and repair activities on handlers and tester platforms. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to maximize equipment uptime, ensure product quality, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, convert, and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE), including:
- Hontech HT-1028C, HT-9046MX, and Multitest MT9510 handler platforms
- Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, ETS-364, LTX, and NI tester platforms
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and OCAP activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Perform maintenance and replacement of test sockets and carry out minor load board repair activities.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and achieve production targets.
- Support equipment qualification, setup conversion, and production changeovers.
- Monitor and drive equipment performance metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), equipment uptime, and maintenance compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and product quality.
- Comply with all safety, quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Equipment Technician in a semiconductor test manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor handlers and tester platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Fast learner with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to work on shifts and support production requirements when necessary.
