Job summary

AT&S in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a Specialist/Engineer in Equipment Engineering. You will generate equipment specs, coordinate supplier collaboration, and lead installation and qualification efforts.

You will drive improvement projects in cost, capacity, and yield, ensure safety and facility readiness, and mentor technicians and operators during installation and qualification. A strong background in IC substrates and related tooling is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and related experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with project management, data evaluation and DOE preferred.
• Extensive experience in IC-Substrate, Semiconductor, PCB, IC-Packaging.
• Knowledge of quality tools: SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; proficient with QC 7 steps, 6 sigma, JMP and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Generate equipment specifications based on current and future product requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers during machine specification, fabrication, delivery and qualification.
• Review and improve qualification plans and customer qualification documents.
• Lead installation, qualification and successful handover of equipment.
• Ensure safety, utilities and facility readiness for equipment, and manage installation teams.
• Drive improvement projects: cost, capacity, yield, and cross-department collaboration.
• Document best practices, standard workflows and data for proliferation to other equipment.
• Monitor equipment status and report incidents to management.
