Job summary

Cosmx Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah is seeking an Equipment Engineer/Specialist/Team Lead to design, install, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment systems. The role can scale from technical specialist to team leadership depending on experience and career goals.

The position is full-time and based in Karangan, Kedah, offering opportunities to lead projects, mentor staff and contribute to safety and quality standards within a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of equipment/electrical/electronics design and maintenance experience.
• Strong grasp of electrical/electronic principles, circuit design and component selection.
• Proficiency with CAD, SPICE or similar design/analysis tools.
• Experience with test/measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
• Knowledge of IEC/ISO safety standards and quality management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostics.
• Strong written/verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• For Team Lead: prior team leadership and mentoring experience; decision-making capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic equipment systems to meet specifications and performance targets.
• Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment faults and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation including schematics, drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and calibration ensuring compliance with standards.
• Perform routine maintenance for optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
• For Team Lead: mentor junior engineers and technicians and manage team workload.
