Job summary

International Facility Engineering in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, engineering, and delivery of mechanical systems for semiconductor, electronics, biopharmaceutical, and data center facilities.

You will focus on HVAC and Process Exhaust, developing PFDs, schematics, layouts, and technical specifications while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting tender activities. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in design and implementation of mechanical systems for industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Cleanroom, Process Exhaust, Chilled Water, and Building Utility Systems.
• Familiarity with Singapore and Malaysia codes, standards, regulations, and authority submission requirements.
• Proficiency in engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to advise clients, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate for project assignments when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept through detailed engineering design of mechanical systems, focusing on HVAC and Process Exhaust.
• Perform engineering calculations including heat load, equipment sizing, airflow, duct sizing, and utility distribution sizing.
• Develop PFDs, schematics, layouts, specifications, and design reports.
• Design HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for new and existing manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial facilities.
• Coordinate and integrate R&D, manufacturing, and process equipment requirements into facility designs.
• Provide engineering support during tendering activities, including site briefings, bidder clarifications, and technical evaluations.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and engineering progress tracking.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interface with clients to gather design requirements and provide technical consultation.
• Coordinate internal resources, external consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
