Job summary

Flex is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Batu Kawan, Penang, to support product teams by maintaining and calibrating process equipment, performing repairs, and assisting with installations. The role requires a Bachelor degree in a related field and about 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field (required).
• 5 years of equivalent experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify machine malfunctions through troubleshooting and isolate the failure mechanism.
• Perform repairs in a cost-effective manner.
• Conduct preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
• Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at intervals.
• Assist with installation and removal of process equipment.
• Record times and problems in equipment logs.
• Set up laboratory equipment to test and calibrate instruments.
• Assist engineers in testing, calibration, repair and evaluation plans.
• May travel to other Flex sites or vendors.
