Job summary

Flex is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia to support production by troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex machinery across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems. You will lead calibration and testing activities, maintain logs, assist with installation of new process equipment, and coordinate 24-hour coverage with production managers.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field and 5 years of equivalent experience.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems.
Willingness to travel to other Flex sites or vendors.
Able to perform both software and hardware maintenance.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and isolate failure mechanisms.
Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment at scheduled intervals.
Assist process technicians with installation and removal of process equipment.
Record equipment activity and maintain logs.
Coordinate 24-hour coverage and communicate progress to production managers.
Support testing and calibration plans for measuring instruments.
