Job summary

ams OSRAM Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced technician for Analytic & Metrology tools in our fab environment. You will maintain and optimize tools like Prober, Candela, and XRD, ensuring uptime and alignment with EHS standards.

Candidate should have min 5 years semiconductor fab experience, a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and be capable of shift work in a cleanroom (ISO 3–6) with proper PPE. Join a global, innovative team driving advanced photonics solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Analytic & Metrology equipment in semiconductor fab.
• Ability to implement hardware upgrades and tool qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain performance of metrology tools such as Prober, Candela, XRD and other support tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance in clean room with SAP PM.
• Ensure uptime by monitoring machine/process parameters and addressing issues.
• Troubleshoot tool software/hardware and assist engineers in manufacturing tasks.
• Transfer/start-up of new equipment with process engineer collaboration.
• Support continuous improvement activities with engineers.
• Maintain 5S and safety in ISO cleanroom environments.
• Work shift with long hours in cleanroom (ISO 3–6) with proper PPE.

Your new responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance of Analytic & Metrology tools such as photo luminescence, Prober, Candela, XRD, and other associated support tools in fab/fabrication with min 5 years Semiconductor Fab work experience.
• Performing machine schedule maintenance activities in clean room and sub facility with closure SAP PM timely without any safety and quality issue.
• Sustain the running of the equipment ,daily monitoring of all machine & process parameters and addressing line operation issues, ensure the uptime of the equipment with establish and implement preventive maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting of tool software and hardware part with application of measurement systems, daily SPC buyoff, also need to assist engineer's tasks in manufacturing and also development environment
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procudure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Support and perform continuous improvement project to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities together with engineers
• Maintain good 5S, maintenance work quality and safety, carrying out all task compliance to EHS and safety regulations with high senstivity on safety requirement
• Able to work shift with long hours under cleanroom environment under class ISO 3,4,5 and 6 with jumpsuit and booties garment, face mask, and gloves.

What we look for

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Analytic & Metrology equipment, in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, robot handling, sensor and laser working principles
• Ability to perform mini hardware implementation project to apply hardware standardization and tool matching
