Job summary

ams OSRAM Group is seeking a Technician/Associate Engineer (Metrology) to maintain Wet Chemistry equipment and support line uptime in a semiconductor environment. The role requires hands-on experience with Wet Benches, Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN tools, plus the ability to work rotating shifts and uphold safety standards.

The candidate should hold a relevant diploma and demonstrate strong troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills to assist engineers and transfer processes effectively.

Qualifications

• Diploma required in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Wet Benches and spray tools.
• Experience in semiconductor/foundry environment preferred.
• Ability to work in rotating shift patterns and meet safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems and Chemical Spray tools.
• Provide line support for setup, recovery and preventive maintenance to meet KPIs.
• Assist in process transfers, improvements of uptime, yield and cost efficiency.
• Train junior technicians for line sustaining activities and ensure 5S/cleanroom compliance.

Your new responsibilities

• The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting engineers in improving uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, and assisting in process transfers and new implementations, with required expertise in Veeco, Siconnex Spray, and SCREEN Wet Bench tools.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in the Wet department.Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete PM documentation as required.
  Able to Perform advance machine troubleshooting. Knowledge to Wet tools (Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tool, Wet Benches and SRD tool) is a must. Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol.
• Support the Tools setup, installation & qualification. Plan & execute projects to improve Overall Equipment Efficiencies (Speed/Cost/Quality).
  Train junior technicians to attain and improve skills & competencies for line sustaining activities.
• Support process team for evaluation & process verification.
  Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

What we look for

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering or equivalent.
• At least with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems such as Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor/foundry environment is preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
