Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd in Ipoh is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain front‑of‑line semiconductor tools, troubleshoot downtime, and support installations and qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ).

You will monitor performance, participate in process improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards. The role requires a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and a minimum of five years' experience supporting EOL equipment such as mold, trim & form, dejunk, and plasma tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting EOL equipment (Mold, Trim & Form, Dejunk, Singulation, Plasma, AVI).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on front-of-line semiconductor tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Work with vendors for complex repairs and technical support.
• Support installation and qualification of new equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Ensure tools meet process requirements before release to production.
• Monitor uptime, MTBF and utilization; analyze trends to prevent failures.
• Participate in cross-functional process improvement or tool upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment status.
