Job summary

COMPOSITES TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH MALAYSIA SDN BHD (CTRM) is seeking an Environmental & Sustainability professional to oversee ISO 14001 compliance, ESG initiatives, and regulatory adherence within manufacturing and aerospace/composites environments.

The role requires practical experience in environmental management, strong communication, and analytical skills to drive continuous improvement and sustainability reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, OSHE, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in environmental, sustainability, ESG, or SHE roles in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and environmental compliance.
• Exposure to ESG reporting, carbon management, or sustainability initiatives is an advantage.
• Certification in ISO 14001 or sustainability-related areas is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and customer requirements.
• Manage and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Support ESG and sustainability initiatives and reporting.
• Monitor environmental performance (energy, water, waste, carbon).
• Track sustainability targets and improvement actions.
• Conduct environmental risk, aspect, and impact assessments.
• Support internal and external environmental audits.
• Drive waste reduction and resource efficiency initiatives.
• Prepare ESG and sustainability reports, including customer requirements.
• Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and authorities on environmental matters.
