Job summary

Kemena Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking an Environmental Officer to monitor environmental compliance for the Limbang Airport Extension Project. The role focuses on implementing environmental measures and ensuring adherence to applicable environmental requirements and project conditions.

The successful candidate will manage inspections, prepare reports, and liaise with authorities, supporting site teams with environmental guidance and coordination across locations in Sarawak.

Qualifications

• Candidate should hold a Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• CePEOEIA certification is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Environmental Officer to support our Limbang Airport Extension Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring environmental compliance, implementing environmental management measures and ensuring that project activities are carried out in accordance with applicable environmental requirements and project conditions.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and company requirements

Conduct environmental inspections and monitoring at project and site locations

Prepare and maintain environmental reports, records, and documentation

Coordinate environmental-related submissions and liaise with relevant authorities when required

Monitor environmental management practices, including waste management, pollution control, and site environmental conditions

Assist in implementing environmental management plans and corrective actions

Provide environmental awareness and guidance to site personnel

Perform other environmental-related duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

Certified Professional for Environmental Officer in EIA (CePEOEIA) qualification is required

Experience in environmental monitoring, compliance, or EIA-related work will be an added advantage

Good knowledge of Malaysian environmental laws and regulations

Good communication, reporting, and documentation skills

Able to work independently and coordinate with site and project teams

Willing to travel or work at project sites when required
