Job description

Location: Petaling Jaya (Routine Kelantan forestry site visit required) Working Hours: Standard hours; flexibility during non‑working hours for operational support.

The Job

1. Ensure compliance with EIA, EMP, and DOE requirements through site monitoring, reporting (PMR, EPMD), and documentation.
2. Conduct risk assessments and supervise erosion, sediment, and pollution control measures (P2M2) collaborating with our reliable environmental service providers.
3. Submit compliance reports and maintain records for regulatory inspections and audits.
4. Train workers on environmental awareness and enforce corrective actions for non‑compliance.
5. Integrate environmental controls into daily site operations and project planning.
6. Compile and submit ESG data to HQ for sustainability reporting.
7. Lead routine site meetings to review environmental issues and ensure follow‑up actions.
8. Support ad‑hoc tasks or incident response as directed by the Superior.

The Remuneration Package

The Person

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Professional certifications such as CESSWI, CISEC, CPESC, CePsWaM, or CPSWQ are preferred.
3. Additional advantages for holders of CIDB Green Card, ISO 14001:2015 Auditor, or CePEOEIA certification.
4. Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in resource‑based or plantation sectors.
5. Familiar with Environmental Quality Act (EQA) and other related environmental laws and regulations.
6. Proficient in DOE online portals and MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS is an added advantage.
7. Solid understanding of resource or plantation operations and industry best practices.
8. Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional project teams effectively.
9. Willingness to travel regularly to project sites and support field operations in Kelantan.
10. Proactive, patient and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
