Job summary

The role focuses on health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site, including planning and implementing PQSHEP, risk assessments, and coordinating SH&E activities. The candidate should have a Diploma/degree in Environmental Science/Engineering/Management, CISEC/CESSWI certification, and at least 2 years of construction experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science / Engineering / Management or related field.
• Possess certification CISEC / CESSWI or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Environmental Officer in the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for environmental compliance related to project sites.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct Safety, Health & Environmental activities, training, programs and meetings.
• Prepare PQSHEP and assist management in assessing its implementation.
• Conduct risk assessments using HIRARC and Environmental Aspect Impact framework.
• Perform site inspections/audits to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants and engineers.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by Management.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team at Alam Reka Bina Sdn Bhd. in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. As a Environmental Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety environmental and well-being of our construction site personnel. This full-time position is integral to the successful delivery of our construction projects, contributing to the overall safety and compliance of environmental regulations.

Job Descriptions:

Responsible for the Environmental compliance matter relating to the implementation of work requirement of project sites.

Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety, Health & Environmental activities, training, program and attend all project’s Safety Health & Environmental meetings.

Prepare Project Safety, Health & Environment Plan (PQSHEP), and assist the project management team in assessing and monitoring its implementation.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Environment Aspect Impact framework to identify potential hazards on-site.

Perform site inspection and audit to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations are being observed among all interested parties.

Experieance in liaison with the regulatory authorities, consultants, Engineers

To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Environmental Science / Engineering / Management or related field

Posses with certification CISEC / CESSWI or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Environmetal Officer in the construction industry

Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives

Working day - Monday to Saturday
