Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the Environmental Leader in delivering project environmental activities in Malaysia.

The role focuses on timely, compliant environmental deliverables and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop effective environmental solutions. The candidate should have a degree or diploma in a related field, CIDB Green Card, and 10–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with Petronas projects in Pengerang, Johor.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
• CIDB Green Card is required.
• Preferably experience on Petronas projects in Pengerang, Johor.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support environmental engineering activities in compliance with project requirements and company standards.
• Prepare environmental studies, assessments and other deliverables as defined in the Project Environmental Plan.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of environmental documentation and outputs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop sound and cost-effective environmental solutions under supervision.
• Utilize environmental software, calculation tools, and models to support activities and analyses.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and project requirements.
• Provide feedback to improve departmental processes and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and engineering practices.
• Assist the Environmental Leader in achieving project objectives while ensuring schedules.

Assigned to the Environmental Team within a project, the Environmental Engineer supports theexecution of environmental activities under the direction of theEnvironmental Leader, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with requiredquality standards. The position reports to the Environmental Leader regardingproject-specific activities and the quality of project deliverables.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and support environmentalengineering activities in compliance with project requirements, contractualobligations, company standards, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepare and contribute toEnvironmental Studies, assessments, and other environmental deliverables asdefined in the Project Environmental Plan.
• Ensure the quality,accuracy, and timely delivery of assigned environmental documentation andproject outputs.
• Coordinate withmultidisciplinary teams to develop technically sound and cost-effectiveenvironmental solutions under the guidance of the Environmental Leader.
• Utilize environmentalsoftware, calculation tools, and simulation models to support projectactivities and analyses.
• Monitor compliance withapplicable environmental regulations, standards, and project requirements.
• Provide feedback andrecommendations to improve departmental processes, methodologies, andoperational efficiency.
• Support continuousimprovement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-dateknowledge of environmental regulations, technologies, industry standards, andengineering practices.

Person Specification

Knowledge& Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• Candidate must possess a valid CIDB Green Card
• Preferably with experience working on Petronas projects in Pengerang, Johor
• A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience.
