Job summary

VIGOR ENGINEERING & TRADING SDN BHD is seeking an Environmental Compliance professional to support project operations by conducting inspections, managing risks, coordinating with authorities, and maintaining regulatory documentation.

The role involves routine audits, monitoring of dust/noise/air quality, waste management, and development of environmental plans. Strong reporting and coordination skills are essential to ensure ongoing compliance across sites in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline.
• Experience in environmental monitoring, compliance, scheduled waste management and site inspections.
• Familiarity with Department of Environment requirements and applicable environmental regulations.
• Strong report-writing, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to investigate incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple environmental compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine environmental inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project environmental requirements.
• Monitor environmental aspects including dust, noise, vibration, scheduled waste, water pollution, erosion and sediment control, and air quality.
• Manage scheduled waste in accordance with Department of Environment requirements, including proper storage, labelling, inventory management and disposal.
• Coordinate with the Department of Environment, consultants, contractors, clients and relevant authorities on environmental matters.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, monitoring records, inspection reports and regulatory documentation.
• Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans, erosion and sediment control measures, pollution prevention plans and environmental monitoring programmes.
• Investigate environmental incidents, complaints and non-conformities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist during environmental inspections, audits and regulatory visits conducted by clients or government authorities.
• Ensure all environmental permits, licences and statutory requirements remain valid and compliant.

What we're looking for
