Job summary

Larian Studios is seeking an Environment Artist to join the team and help craft high calibre games our fans expect. You will collaborate across art, design, and tech teams to turn concept art into immersive environments.

As part of a global studio, you will work with modern tools such as Unreal Engine, Maya, ZBrush and Substance Painter to create believable worlds while respecting performance constraints and asset optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in environment art or level art.
• Experience in level art and set dressing to create environmental storytelling.
• Proficient in game editors such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Proficient in 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max or Blender.
• Experience in ZBrush for 3D sculpting and Substance Painter for textures.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with concept artists, level designers, scripters, VFX and tech artists.
• Translate concept art into 3D assets with art direction in mind.
• Decorate levels delivered from level designers to shipping quality.
• Understand performance constraints and optimize assets for real-time rendering.
