Job summary

CFB Bots Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build and deploy AI agents that integrate with customers' systems and workflows. You will own technical delivery from discovery through production, working with hybrid arrangements and diverse regional customers.

You will prototype, build and deploy LLM-powered applications, collaborating with customers and internal teams to create reusable components and frameworks that accelerate future delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably delivering solutions for enterprise customers.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in backend development, REST APIs, SQL databases and enterprise integration.
• Practical experience building LLM-powered applications or AI agents, including RAG, tool calling and orchestration.
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting AI applications, including QoS, latency and cost considerations.
• Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining applications on major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker) and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data ingestion, transformation and integration workflows.
• Understanding of enterprise security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization and data protection.
• Ability to conduct customer discovery discussions and translate requirements into designs.

Responsibilities

• Discover and scope with customers, translating needs into use cases, architectures and delivery plans.
• Design and build AI agents and LLM-powered apps that integrate with enterprise systems and data.
• Integrate solutions with enterprise apps, APIs and databases; deploy in customer environments with reliability and scalability.
• Own delivery quality with testing, AI evaluation, monitoring and safeguards; address security and regulatory needs.
• Troubleshoot and optimise across application code, integrations, infra and AI model behavior; continuously improve.
• Demonstrate business impact by measuring outcomes and communicating trade-offs and value to stakeholders.
• Train customer teams and produce technical documentation; contribute reusable components and frameworks.
