Job summary

RUNJIAN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within enterprise environments and deliver working AI systems, not just demos.

You will align sales, delivery, and platform teams to scope, design, and deploy AI solutions directly inside customer stacks. The role requires Python/TypeScript, practical LLM pattern experience, and comfort with ambiguous, multi-system environments. Expect frequent travel to Malaysia and ASEAN partners, with English as the working language and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering with Python/TypeScript.
• Experience with LLM patterns: RAG, prompt engineering, tool calls, or agentic workflows.
• Comfort operating in undocumented, messy customer environments with shifting requirements.
• Strong communication to run discovery workshops and debug integrations with IT teams.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Willingness to spend substantial time at customer sites in Malaysia, with travel to ASEAN.

Responsibilities

• Discovery & Scoping: understand the customer environment and data quality.
• Embedded Solution Engineering: design and build customer-specific AI solutions on top of our products.
• Rapid POC Build: deliver working systems from scoped POC in days using AI tooling.
• Evaluation & Trust: create evaluation sets and demos for production-readiness.
• Production Hardening & Reuse: turn customizations into reusable platform components.
• Field-to-Product Loop: convert field learnings into platform requirements.
