Job summary

VAT Group in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, is seeking a Project Manager Engineering to lead PMO initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and manage a strategic program from initiation to completion.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, report on project performance, and contribute to portfolio analytics. The role requires a degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of PM experience in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as project / program manager or relevant experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Exposure to project portfolio management, reporting and analytics is advantageous.
• Proven experience with project management tools and analytical software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives within scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, issues and dependencies, and plan mitigations.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare project status reports and executive updates for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with world-class PMO methodologies, governance and best practices.
• Provide coaching on project management methodologies, tools and practices.
• Support portfolio reporting by collecting and analyzing data for dashboards and reporting.
