Job summary

NI (NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS) in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to support daily project activities, manage BOMs and POs, and coordinate cross-functional tasks across R&D and manufacturing.

You will work closely with engineers and project managers, ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation, and ongoing process improvements in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
• Applied AI literacy: craft prompts, validate AI outputs, and use AI tools while ensuring data privacy.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving priorities, processes and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers and project managers to support daily project activities.
• Execute tasks assigned by the project manager in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain project documentation and coordinate logistics activities, including internal support requests, ECOs, and MCOs.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component inventory records.
• Submit Purchase Requisitions (PRs), track Purchase Orders (POs), and support project coordination activities.
• Coordinate manufacturing prototype builds and product qualification requests.
• Create and maintain new component part numbers; experience with electronic component attributes is an advantage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PCB Design, Test Engineering, Compliance, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders.
• Foster teamwork and maintain effective communication across R&D and manufacturing.
