Job summary

KMS MANUFACTORY SDN. BHD. in Bertam, Penang, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage our engineering team through product development, improvement, and manufacturing.

You will oversee projects from concept and design through to production, ensuring customer requirements, quality, cost targets, and delivery schedules are met. The role requires strong leadership, problem‑solving, and project management skills, with hands‑on experience in stainless steel, aluminum

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in Stainless Steel, Aluminum fabrication, Die-Casting or similar industries.
• Proven experience in managing or leading an engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of product development, engineering design, manufacturing processes and production methods.
• Good knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD, CAM and related software.
• Proficiency in Mandarin for regular communication with clients and suppliers.
• Candidate able to work at Bertam, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and provide guidance to the engineering team.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from development through production.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and processes.
• Develop new products and improve existing ones based on customer needs.
• Evaluate feasibility, materials, tooling, costs, and timelines.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for relevant materials.
• Provide technical solutions and troubleshooting for production issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure project success.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical matters.
• Review customer drawings and requirements to provide solutions.
• Monitor progress, changes, and readiness against timelines.
• Identify opportunities for product, process, quality, and cost improvements.
• Maintain engineering standards, procedures, and documentation.
