Job summary

Resorts World Genting is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to manage RM building maintenance, hot water production, and waste management projects at Genting Highlands. You will plan, diagnose, and coordinate repairs, while supervising staff and coordinating with contractors to meet cost-saving goals.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 2+ years’ experience in plant maintenance, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in plant maintenance and project coordination.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective repair solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Project management experience, including budget preparation and cost control.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially in compliance with uniform building by laws.
• CePSWAM certification would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks, addressing maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Diagnose issues and delegate repair tasks to subordinates, evaluate team performance against KPIs.
• Raise Purchase Requisitions for renovations and oversee outsourcing of tasks.
• Monitor and submit monthly reports for Genting waste management and scheduled waste.
• Coordinate building repair and maintenance projects for timely and cost-effective completion.
• Prepare budgetary estimates and ensure financial considerations for maintenance projects.
• Maintain attendance and inventory records and ensure proper usage of materials and PPE.

Purpose of the Job:
Manage R&M building maintenance in line with the company's cost savings policy, following EIMS procedures, and foster positive relationships between engineering staff and management.

• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks, promptly addressing maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Diagnose issues and delegate repair tasks to subordinates, ensuring high-quality work and evaluating team performance against department KPIs.
• Raise Purchase Requisitions for renovation works, purchase materials, and oversee outsourcing of tasks.
• Monitor and submit monthly report for Genting waste management and scheduled waste.
• Troubleshoot, report defects, and propose effective repair solutions.
• Attend briefings and meetings with users and contractors, promoting communication and collaboration.
• Plan and coordinate building repair and maintenance projects for timely and cost-effective completion.
• Prepare budgetary estimates, ensuring financial considerations for maintenance projects.
• Ensure adherence to the management of change process and compliance with uniform building bylaws for repairs or new projects.
• Maintain attendance and inventory records, ensuring proper usage of materials, equipment, and machines.
• Implement On-Job Training for staff and conduct regular safety inspections in the building.
• Manage tool inventory every 6 months, ensuring availability and sufficient PPE equipment.
• Prepare machinery certificate of fitness renewal with OSH Department.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and other departments to coordinate efforts and address cross-functional needs.
• Communicate effectively with superiors, supervisors and team members.
• Managing resort wide documents shredding.
• Prepare scheduled waste inventory record for SIRIM audits.
• Assist in compiling Genting waste management data for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
• Assist in compiling Genting waste management data for Management Review Meeting (MRM).
• Assist in compiling Hot water production plant data for Energy saving committee.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in plant maintenance and project coordination.
