Job summary

Genting Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance and projects at Resorts World Genting, Pahang. You will plan, supervise, and coordinate building and plant maintenance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost control.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, at least two years’ plant maintenance experience, and familiarity with SAP; strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in plant maintenance and project coordination.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks and emergencies.
• Diagnose issues and delegate repair tasks to subordinates.
• Raise purchase requisitions and oversee outsourcing of tasks.
• Prepare budget estimates and ensure cost control for projects.
• Coordinate with users, contractors and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and building bylaws.
