Job summary

Mizuden (M) Sdn Bhd, a Japanese electronics manufacturer, seeks a proactive Engineering Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee multi-site engineering activities. You will drive cost-effective execution, liaise with customers, and ensure production capability aligns with customer requirements.

The role involves supervising technicians, managing maintenance scheduling, and translating changes into robust process controls while monitoring APQP progress to meet critical milestones.

Qualifications

• Plan and oversee engineering projects to ensure timely, cost-efficient execution.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes and best practices to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and assess in-house production capability.
• Assist Sales to estimate costs for new projects.
• Liaise with customers if drawings, dies or moulds are unsuitable or lost.
• Supervise Engineering Technician in inspection of incoming parts, dies or moulds.
• Supervise machine/equipment maintenance activities including scheduling.
• Translate engineering changes and customer requirements into process and product controls.
• Monitor APQP progress, address bottlenecks, and keep projects on schedule to meet milestones.

• Plan, organize and oversea engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution


• Develip and implement engineering strategies, process, and best practices to improve productivity and efficiency


• Review the customers' requirement and assess in-house production capability


• Assists the Sales Personnel to work out the cost of new project


• Liase with customers in the event that the customer-supplied drawing, dies or moulds are unsuitable, damaged or lost


• Supervises the Engineering Technician to inspect the incoming engineering parts, dies or moulds


• Supervises and responsible for all machine and equipment maintenance activities including all scheduling


• Ensure engineering changes, technical specification and customer requirement are translated into process and product controls


• Monitor APQP progress, address bottlenecks and ensure the project stays on schedule to meet customer milestone
