Job summary

Endress+Hauser (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a technically adept engineer to drive instrumentation projects. You will plan, monitor, and execute scope within time and budget while coordinating site surveys, FAT/SAT, and startup activities.

The role requires hands-on analyzer experience in Oil & Gas and strong customer-facing skills. You will support engineering documentation, participate in risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering required.
• 2–3 years of experience in analyzer, industrial automation, instrumentation or related field.
• Hands-on analyzer experience in Oil & Gas industry mandatory.
• Project management skills are essential.
• Exposure to chemical or petrochemical projects is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of gas analyzers and process analyzer systems.
• Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning and start-up of analyzer systems.
• Good process and application knowledge; MS Office and Excel proficiency.
• Drafting experience (if applicable) and strong CRM capabilities.
• Good communication, leadership, teamwork and travel willingness; offshore work possible.

Responsibilities

• Involved in instrumentation project execution and management end-to-end.
• Schedule, plan and monitor progress to meet time and budget targets.
• Design and conduct internal tests to confirm performance.
• Manage project schedules, scope changes and costs.
• Provide technical support to customers, including warranty support post-handover.
• Prepare project engineering documents during the engineering stage.
• Support project division with OHSAS documentation.
• Represent the team in site visits, surveys and ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Involved in instrumentation project execution and management of its project on a whole.

To schedule, plan and monitor it progress to ensure it is executed within its stipulated time and budget according to the project requirements and qualities.

Design and conduct tests (internal testing) to confirm product performance.

Manage project schedules and scope of changes.

Manage and monitor project costs to ensure they are within budget.

Conduct technical clarification along with site visit and site survey.

Conduct testing, commissioning, SAT and FAT.

Involved in monthly project progress update meeting.

Develop project plan to ensure a complete scope of coverage and resource planning.

Support in acquisition activities by providing information, carry site visit and survey.

Provide technical support to customer – warranty support after project handover.

Assist in preparation of project engineering related documents during engineering stage.

Assist Project Division in documentation preparation related to OHSAS.

Any other ad hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

At least 2-3 Years of working experience in the analyzer, industrial automation, and instrumentation or related field is required for this position.

Hands-on experience with analyzers in the Oil & Gas industry is mandatory.

Project management skills are essential.

Basic product knowledge and strategic solution product.

Exposure to chemical or petrochemical industry projects is a strong advantage.

Strong knowledge of gas analyzers and process analyzer systems.

Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up of analyzer systems.

Good process and application knowledge.

Good knowledge in MS office and MS excel.

Have drafting experience (if applicable).
