Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Engineer Line Control to drive line planning, balance production loading, and optimize capacity to meet cycle time and on-time delivery. You will collaborate with Production, Planning, IE, Process Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvements for better line performance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in engineering and 1–2 years in semiconductor manufacturing

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will drive manufacturing line planning and control by balancing production loading, prioritizing WIP flow, and optimizing capacity utilization to achieve cycle time, OTD, and other key operational targets. You willcollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks, support capacity and resource planning, analyze operational data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, visibility, and overall manufacturing performance.

Monitor, balance, and prioritize manufacturing lines to achieve committed targets for Flow Factor, CLIP, CTS, OTD, and other operational KPIs

Plan and prioritize WIP across production processes to optimize flow, minimize cycle time, and meet customer demand requirements.

Monitor production capacity and loading to ensure available resources are effectively utilized and production demand can be fulfilled

Collaborate with Production, Planning, IE, Process Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and supply risks

Drive effective WIP and batch management by monitoring aging, lot cycle time, sustain range, and flow factor to minimize delays and conversion losses

Support capacity planning andresource optimization by identifying gaps between demand, capacity, and available resources

Monitor equipment and production availability andcoordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely equipment readiness and minimize production interruptions

Identify and support process improvement anddigitalization opportunities to improve planning efficiency, line performance, and data visibility

Support engineering sample builds andnew product activities to achieve committed OTD and cycle-time targets

Prepare and analyze operational data and reports, providing concise insights and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders

Ensure compliance with established planning and line-control processes, standards, and governance requirements

Your profile

You strive to leveragestrong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize manufacturing performance through effective WIP management, capacity planning, cycle time improvement, and data-driven decision making. You collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adapting to changing operational needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Minimum1-2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom operations, production planning, line control, industrial engineering, capacity planning, or a related manufacturing environment will be an added advantage

Good understanding of manufacturing flow, WIP management, capacity planning, cycle time, OTD, and production performance

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret manufacturing data and identify improvement opportunities

Proficient inMicrosoft Excel and data analysis; experience with visualization or digitalization tools such as Tableau/Power BI would be an advantage

Goodcommunication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Planning, Engineering, IE, and other functions

Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and respond effectively to changing production requirements

Strong sense of ownership, teamwork, andcontinuous improvement mindset

Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support operational requirements when needed
