Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia is seeking an Engineer Line Control to drive line planning, balance production loading, and optimize capacity to meet key KPIs such as Flow Factor, OTD, and CTS in a high-volume semiconductor environment.

You will collaborate with Production, Planning, IE and Process Engineering to resolve bottlenecks, monitor WIP, and implement continuous improvements for better efficiency and data visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related field is preferable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and balance lines to meet Flow Factor, CLIP, CTS, OTD and KPI targets.
• Plan and prioritize WIP to optimize flow and minimize cycle time.
• Track capacity and loading to ensure resources meet production demand.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, IE and Process Engineering to remove bottlenecks.
• Drive WIP and batch management by monitoring aging and lot cycle time.
• Support capacity planning and resource optimization by identifying gaps.
• Monitor equipment readiness and coordinate to avoid interruptions.
• Identify digitalization opportunities to improve planning efficiency.
• Support engineering sample builds to meet OTD targets.
• Prepare and analyze data and provide concise insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with planning and line-control processes and governance.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will drive manufacturing line planning and control by balancing production loading, prioritizing WIP flow, and optimizing capacity utilization to achieve cycle time, OTD, and other key operational targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks, support capacity and resource planning, analyze operational data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, visibility, and overall manufacturing performance.

• Monitor, balance, and prioritize manufacturing lines to achieve committed targets for Flow Factor, CLIP, CTS, OTD, and other operational KPIs
• Plan and prioritize WIP across production processes to optimize flow, minimize cycle time, and meet customer demand requirements.
• Monitor production capacity and loading to ensure available resources are effectively utilized and production demand can be fulfilled
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, IE, Process Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and supply risks
• Drive effective WIP and batch management by monitoring aging, lot cycle time, sustain range, and flow factor to minimize delays and conversion losses
• Support capacity planning and resource optimization by identifying gaps between demand, capacity, and available resources
• Monitor equipment and production availability and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely equipment readiness and minimize production interruptions
• Identify and support process improvement and digitalization opportunities to improve planning efficiency, line performance, and data visibility
• Support engineering sample builds and new product activities to achieve committed OTD and cycle-time targets
• Prepare and analyze operational data and reports, providing concise insights and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with established planning and line-control processes, standards, and governance requirements

You collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adapting to changing operational needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom operations, production planning, line control, industrial engineering, capacity planning, or a related manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of manufacturing flow, WIP management, capacity planning, cycle time, OTD, and production performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret manufacturing data and identify improvement opportunities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; experience with visualization or digitalization tools such as Tableau/Power BI would be an advantage
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Planning, Engineering, IE, and other functions
• Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and respond effectively to changing production requirements
• Strong sense of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support operational requirements when needed
