Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad is seeking an Interface Engineer to support reporting managers and senior engineers on railway and large infrastructure projects in Penang. You will coordinate interface activities across system and civil work packages, review design drawings, and ensure compliance with interface requirements throughout construction and commissioning phases.
The role requires a degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent and at least 3 years
Provide support to reporting Manager & Senior Engineer.
Assist and support Interface Manager on weekly, or monthly progress Interface & Integration Management report.
Assist and support technical revision and development of Interface Specification to describe the interface between System and Infrastructure works.
Coordinate with Design Consultants throughout Infrastructure & System design stage to ensure compliance with Interface requirements between System and Infrastructure disciplines.
Review the development, realization and close out on interface items in Infrastructure Design drawings, i.e. Architecture, Structure, M&E, etc. via RFI, DRS and other official means of communication.
Coordinate and monitor the compliance of Subcontractors to the Interface process and procedures to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate and review the development, realization and close-out of interface items via Interface process such as IDS, ICD and CSD by Subcontractors.
Coordinate and review the Interface document submission by Subcontractor such as the Interface Management Plan and Interface Control Document to ensure full compliance with the Interface Specification.
Coordinate, monitor and review the interface and integration activities identified by respective Subcontractors throughout construction stage and initiates corrective action where appropriate.
Coordinate, monitor, review and execute the interface and integration activities identified by respective Subcontractors throughout Testing and Commissioning stage to ensure timely completion and documentation.
Resolve issues related to interface/integration.
Interface coordination with relevant stakeholder and contractor liaison.
Lead, manage and coordinate the interface and integration activities involving multiple Systems and Civil work packages
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years working experience in the design and installation of systems on railway projects and/or large infrastructure projects.
Good knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines civil, structural, E&M, Train, PS&DS ,Trackworks, S&TCS, COMMS, RSS, CMMS, TS, EACS, ITS, DEMV, BIM, CAD.
Good command of spoken and written English
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
