Job summary

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad is seeking a senior IT&C professional to lead testing and commissioning across large railway projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate IT&C activities, manage resource allocation, and report to the Head of Testing and Commissioning.

The role emphasizes mentoring, governance, and collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure milestones are met and IT&C plans are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years working experience in the design and installation of systems on large railway projects and have successfully delivered a railway project.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Understanding of lifecycle system principle, system interface and integration activities, quality assurance, software management, requirements and configuration management processes

Responsibilities

• Provide support and report to Head of Testing and Commissioning.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to subordinates.
• Manage and coordinate the IT&C works throughout the project life-cycle with effective program planning and resource allocation.
• Prepare the IT&C Plan to develop the IT&C process and procedures for Subcontractors to cover the inspection, testing and commissioning stage.
• Manage the project progress to assure fulfillment of milestones during project life-cycle.
• Manage and conduct technical review on the IT&C related plan submission (FAI Plan, FAT Plan, PAT Plan, SAT Plan, SIT Plan) by Subcontractors.
• Manage the IT&C activities coordination work between work packages throughout IT&C period.
• Manage, lead and chair IT&C meetings and workshops to identify and resolve issues related to IT&C.
• Manage and lead the coordination and monitoring of IT&C document submissions by Subcontractors to ensure compliance to IT&C plan and process as well as the Contract.
• Manage the monitoring of IT&C document submissions with respect to the test program.
• Manage the traceability of IT&C documentation (plan, procedure, report, etc.) along the project life cycle.
• Manage, lead and conduct the IT&C briefing to other System and Infrastructure departments to ensure awareness of IT&C process and procedures.
• Manage and engage project client as and when necessary.
• Manage, lead, monitor and follow up other departments and Subcontractors on the issues related to IT&C.
• Prepare the System Integration Test (SIT) Plan document to develop the strategy and approach to meet the Contract requirement.
• Manage the development and preparation of System Integration Test (SIT) Procedure documents.
• Manage the Client and Consultant (if applicable) review of all IT&C documentation.
• Manage the execution of System Integration Test (SIT) activities.
• Manage the development and preparation of System Integration Test (SIT) result and report documents.
• Witness tests at site as required.
