Job summary

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad is seeking a BIM professional to assist the Manager with BIM progress reporting and to coordinate interfaces across civil, structural and M&E disciplines for railway infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Degree/Diploma in Engineering and at least 4 years in design and installation of systems on large infrastructure projects, with strong BIM capability and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in design and installation of systems on railway or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong BIM knowledge across civil, structural, E&M disciplines and related interfaces.
• Proficient in English; good written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding lifecycle system principles, interfaces, QA and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Manager on weekly or monthly BIM progress reports.
• Coordinate with Design Consultants to ensure BIM and interface requirements across disciplines.
• Review BIM development, realization and close-out on interface items in Infrastructure drawings via RFI, DRS and official communications.
• Monitor subcontractor BIM compliance and interface process to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate and review BIM development, realization and close-out of interface items.
• Oversee BIM activities during construction and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Carry out production tasks in technical models to meet BIM Execution Plan requirements.
• Conduct internal coordination and model quality checks within your discipline.
• Maintain BIM model content and quality.
• Produce clash and design-issues reports (RFI).
• Manage and coordinate BIM interface and integration across multiple systems and civil work packages.

Job description

Assist and support the Manager on weekly, or monthly progress of BIM report.

Coordinate with Design Consultants throughout Infrastructure & System design stage to ensure compliance with BIM, Interface requirements between System and Infrastructure disciplines.

Review the BIM development, realization and close out on interface items in Infrastructure Design drawings, i.e. Architecture, Structure, M&E, etc. via RFI, DRS and other official means of communication.

Coordinate and monitor the compliance of Subcontractors to BIM and Interface process and procedures to ensure productivity and efficiency.

Coordinate and review the development, realization and close-out of BIM and interface items

Coordinate, monitor and review the BIM activities identified by respective Subcontractors throughout construction stage and initiates corrective action where appropriate.

Conducts all production tasks in technical models and deliverables to match requirements stated in the BIM Execution Plan

Conduct internal Coordination & Model Quality Check within their discipline.

Maintains models content and quality.

Produces clash and design issues reports (RFI).

Manage and coordinate the BIM interface and integration activities involving multiple Systems and Civil work packages

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 4 years working experience in the design and installation of systems on railway projects and/or large infrastructure projects.

Good knowledge in BIM and the following disciplines ie civil, structural, E&M, Train, PS&DS ,Trackworks, S&TCS, COMMS, RSS, CMMS, TS, EACS, ITS, DEMV, BIM, CAD

Good command of spoken and written English

Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of lifecycle system principle, system interface and integration activities, quality assurance, software management, requirements and configuration management processes.
