DF Automation & Robotics in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a proactive Regional Account Manager to drive revenue and strengthen customer relationships across assigned territories. Job Responsibilities
Manage assigned regional accounts as the primary point of contact, building and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue through Customer Support (CS) packages, service solutions, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate technical support and Customer Support services aligned with their automation systems and operational requirements.
Prepare accurate technical quotations and commercial proposals, ensuring timely submission to customers and compliance with company sales policies.
Analyze customer automation systems and troubleshoot technical complaints, working closely with Engineering and Technical Support teams to identify effective solutions.
Coordinate and deploy technical support personnel for on-site troubleshooting, system diagnosis, maintenance, and resolution of customer issues.
Lead and coordinate the technical support team to ensure timely, effective, and professional service delivery at customer sites.
Manage customer contracts and service agreements, ensuring proper administration, compliance, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
Monitor and review regional sales performance, customer accounts, revenue growth, and sales targets, implementing appropriate actions to achieve or exceed business objectives.
Develop new business opportunities within assigned territories by identifying potential customers, understanding market needs, and expanding existing customer accounts.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project, R&D, QA, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to address customer requirements and resolve technical or service-related matters.
Provide consultative technical and commercial support to customers, translating automation and robotics requirements into suitable service solutions.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, contracts, sales activities, and account performance.
Support continuous improvement of Customer Support processes, service offerings, and customer engagement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
Participate in customer meetings, site visits, technical discussions, and business reviews as required, including regional travel.
Stay updated on robotics, automation systems, and related technologies to effectively support customers and identify new sales opportunities.

Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering, with proven experience in regional territory management, account management, or B2B sales.
Experience in automation, robotics, machinery, system integration, or engineering solutions is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of robotics, automation systems, electrical/electronic systems, and industrial automation technologies.
Proficient in robotics programming, Microsoft Office, and IT systems.
Ability to analyze automation systems, understand technical issues, and provide effective troubleshooting and problem-solving support.
Strong consultative sales, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and develop new business within assigned territories.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to prepare technical quotations and understand customer requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Able to lead, coordinate, and deploy technical support teams for on-site troubleshooting and customer service activities.
Willing to travel regularly for customer meetings, site visits, troubleshooting, and business development activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Electrical / Electronics / Robotics certifications are an added advantage.
