Job summary

Larian Studios in Malaysia is seeking an Engine Programming Intern to join our diverse team and help craft the high‑calibre RPGs our fans expect.

You will work on engine and gameplay systems, collaborate with fellow programmers and other departments, and contribute to in‑game UIs while writing robust, maintainable C++ code. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

• Passion for engine programming and C++.

Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects of engine and gameplay systems of the RPG: designing, developing and support.
• Work in tandem with Larian's other programmers
• Work closely with other departments to implement needed game components.
• Work together with the UI designers on the in-game UIs.
• Write robust and maintainable code.
• Be an active participant in the design and production of the game; the technical side of the creative team!
• Experience or interest in C++.
• Open minded, willing to experiment and iterate over a specific feature.
• Good communication skills in English.
• You are a team player and willing to take responsibility.
• Problem-solving skills.
