Job summary

ABB Malaysia seeks a seasoned Electrical Energy Studies Lead to drive energy efficiency and digital solutions across Southeast Asia. You will lead energy assessments, evaluate electrical systems, and translate findings into practical, value-driven proposals.

You will work with local sales and solution teams, mentor junior engineers, and help shape ABB's energy studies offering while advancing sustainability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, energy management, industrial automation, or related sectors.
• Professional certification in energy management or energy auditing (e.g., CEM, SAEMAS EMP) desirable.
• Experience conducting energy audits, power system studies, electrical assessments, or energy optimisation projects.
• Ability to analyse electrical system data and develop practical recommendations with quantified business benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Energy Studies across Southeast Asia, identifying energy improvement opportunities.
• Conduct energy assessments, power quality studies, and electrical system evaluations at industrial sites.
• Prepare technical reports, baseline assessments and business cases; lead workshops and presentations with customers.
• Identify and develop solution opportunities across energy management, advanced process control, asset monitoring, and power management.
• Contribute to proposals and collaborate with sales and digital solution teams to secure follow-on projects.
