Job summary

URC Malaysia is seeking an Energy Management Engineer to monitor and improve energy consumption across electricity, gas, water, and steam, ensuring EnMS compliance and driving energy-saving initiatives.

You will prepare energy performance reports, assist in energy audits, coordinate with production and maintenance teams, and handle regulatory reporting to Suruhanjaya Tenaga, with focus on system calibration and reliable power supply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor energy consumption (electricity, gas, water, steam) and analyze usage data
• Implement and ensure compliance with the Energy Management System (EnMS)
• Identify and execute energy-saving initiatives and projects
• Prepare energy performance reports and track savings
• Assist in energy audits and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with Electrical Consultant MM2020, production and maintenance teams to improve equipment efficiency
• Promote energy awareness and best practices among employees
• Conduct training and briefing on energy efficiency practices
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia) requirements
• Prepare and submit energy reports to Suruhanjaya Tenaga and Electrical Consultant MM2020
• Coordinate energy-related regulatory matters and communications with Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Handle registration and renewal for electrical installations, competent persons, and energy-related certifications
• Perform calibration activities for electrical instruments (power meters, relays, transformer protection systems, monitoring devices)
• Oversee operation and maintenance of transformer room equipment (transformers, switchgear, panels, protection systems) to ensure stable power supply
• Assist in regulatory audits, inspections and timely closure of findings
• Maintain documentation and records related to energy compliance and company licensing
