Job summary

Talent Spot Group is seeking an Accounting Advisor in Malaysia. The role covers end-to-end regional accounting, including payroll, fixed assets, cash, intercompany, AR and Opex. You will handle monthly closes, journal entries, and variance commentary.

You will interact with operations and other financial teams to drive improvements, strengthen controls, and support audits. Strong English, analytical skills and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting firm and/or multinational company.
• Experience with monthly accounting cycles and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Oracle knowledge and SOX experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounting for assigned regions including payroll, assets, cash, Opex, intercompany and AR.
• Monthly close and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare and post journal entries; analyze statements and ledger activity.
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to drive process improvements.
• Develop business partnering with facilities, HR, payroll and treasury.
• Involve CFR analysis and fluctuation commentary.
• Support internal controls and audits as required.
• Handle internal & external auditors for statutory audits and quarterly reporting.
• Participate in continuous process improvement and close gaps with partners.
• Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policy across region and globally.
