Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor - GL & Intercompany to join our team in Malaysia (remote from Kuala Lumpur). The role requires deep intercompany expertise, strong project leadership, and the ability to mentor others.

You will prepare and review intercompany journal entries, manage end-to-end intercompany activities, and support audits with detailed reconciliations. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in accounting, excellent English communication, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification.
• 8+ years experience, ideally in an accounting firm or MNC.
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English.
• SAP user knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking.
• Advanced oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Able to lead, work independently and communicate with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end intercompany accounting activities for assigned entities.
• Prepare, review, and post intercompany journal entries for various charges.
• Ensure intercompany balances and margins are accurately recorded.
• Investigate, resolve discrepancies, aging items and currency differences.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Develop and maintain intercompany process documentation and templates.
• Lead intercompany mismatch resolution projects and provide updates.
