Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Remote, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor specialized in GL and Intercompany to join our team. You will manage end-to-end intercompany activities, prepare journals, and ensure accurate cross‑entity reporting to support monthly close.

You will lead intercompany projects, develop dashboards and management reporting, and collaborate with tax, treasury, and business stakeholders. Strong English communication and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification.
• 8+ years of working experience in accounting, preferably in an MNC or accounting firm.
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint); SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good time management and ability to multi-task.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Results oriented, flexible & team player.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end intercompany accounting for assigned entities, including reconciliations, confirmations, settlements, and eliminations.
• Prepare, review, and post intercompany journal entries for management fees, recharges, loans, interest, and cost allocations.
• Ensure intercompany balances and margins are accurately recorded between counterparties.
• Investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies and aged balances.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and transfer pricing.
• Assist intercompany netting and settlement processes with treasury.
• Support audits with reconciliations and variance explanations.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements in intercompany processes.
• Develop and maintain intercompany process documentation and control procedures.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
