Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Structural Design Engineer based in Johor Bahru to design building engineering works. You will attend project and authority meetings, conduct site inspections and manage works with a team to ensure contract and design review outcomes are implemented. The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and BEM registration.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Familiarity with structural analysis tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• Must be registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• 2+ years of relevant structural design experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Carry the design work for building engineering projects.
• Attend project/site meetings and reviews with authorities.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress of sub-consultants.
• Ensure outcomes of meetings are implemented by project members.
• Liaise with clients on technical issues.
• Comply with ISO requirements and QA procedures.
• Review project documentation for conformity and quality assurance.
• Ensure quality control inspections during construction.
