Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Penang is seeking a New Grad software engineer to design, develop, and enhance software features for two-way radios, writing clean C/C++ for embedded systems.

You will participate in the full SDLC, collaborate with hardware and front-end teams, and contribute to tests, debugging, and KPI-driven improvements in a dynamic Agile environment. Onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Telecommunications/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and OOP fundamentals.
• Experience with embedded microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of RTOS and debugging techniques.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software features for two-way radios.
• Participate in the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Analyze requirements for feasibility within quality, performance, budget.
• Collaborate with front-end, hardware, test teams for integration.
• Write clean C/C++ code for embedded systems adhering to standards.
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded software with tools.
• Monitor KPIs by collecting and analyzing data.
• Deliver projects on time within budget in an Agile environment.
• Work effectively in a multi-site global development team.
• Contribute to IP development to enhance products.
