Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2–5 years of software development experience.
• Fresh graduates/entry level encouraged to apply.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and OOP principles.
• Understanding of microcontroller operation in embedded systems.
• Hands-on RTOS and embedded software experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of LTE/DMR specifications is advantageous.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Role onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software features for two-way radios.
• Participate in the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Analyze requirements with quality, performance, and budget in mind.
• Collaborate with front-end, hardware, and test teams for integration.
• Write clean, well-documented C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues in embedded systems.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor KPIs and improve outcomes.
• Deliver projects on time within budget in an agile environment.
• Work effectively in a multi-site global development setting.
• Contribute to IP development and product enhancements.
