Job summary

ARRK Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer to join its automotive software team in Malaysia. You will develop software for Linux- and Android-based embedded systems, implement UI/UX for next-gen cockpits, and collaborate with international teams across the product lifecycle.

The role offers exposure to production-grade systems, rapid prototyping, and opportunities to grow into more senior technical responsibilities within a global ARRK group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Solid programming skills in C++, Kotlin and Python.
• Hands-on software development experience via internships, roles, or projects.
• Good understanding of Embedded Linux and embedded software development.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS and in-vehicle software platforms.
• Knowledge of Qt/QML and modern UI/HMI development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Understanding of automotive communication technologies such as CAN and Automotive Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for Linux- and Android-based embedded systems using modern tools.
• Implement UI/UX concepts for next-gen vehicle cockpits.
• Support rapid prototyping on embedded systems and mobile devices.
• Contribute to AI-based features in the vehicle context.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following standards.
• Support debugging, testing, and QA across the software lifecycle.
