Job summary

ARRK Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Software Engineer to join its automotive software team in Malaysia. You will develop software for Linux- and Android-based embedded systems used in vehicle cockpits and in-car interactions, with opportunities to work on both production-grade systems and innovative PoCs.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing UI/UX concepts, and contributing to AI features in the vehicle context, while growing toward senior technical

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/EE/SE or related field.
• Solid programming skills in C++, Kotlin, Python.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and Android Automotive OS.
• Familiarity with Qt/QML and modern UI/HMI development.
• Knowledge of automotive communication tech (CAN, Automotive Ethernet).

YOUR TASKS

• Develop software for Linux- and Android-based embedded systems using modern tools and development methods
• Implement UI/UX concepts in software for next-generation vehicle cockpits
• Support rapid prototyping of design and interaction concepts on embedded systems and mobile devices
• Contribute to the design and integration of AI-based features in the vehicle context
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams (engineering, design, project management)
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following established coding standards
• Support debugging, testing, and quality assurance activities across the software lifecycle

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid programming skills in C++, Kotlin, and Python.
• Initial hands-on experience in software development through internships, working student positions, academic projects, or professional roles.
• Good understanding of Embedded Linux and embedded software development.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS and in-vehicle software platforms.
• Knowledge of Qt/QML and modern UI/HMI development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and modern software engineering practices.
• Understanding of automotive communication technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, or vehicle software architectures.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to technical challenges.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
